The Sichuan province of China has not fully recovered from the havoc wrought by the initial May 12 earthquake when a new devastation imposes yet another threat to the people through a magnitude-6 aftershock. The aftershock, one of more than 8,000 that have hit the country since the disaster, was so powerful and strong that it was felt all over China. Furthermore, it killed 2 people, injured almost 500, and damaged or ripped down over 270,000 homes.
Approximately 5.7 million people have lost their houses and have been evacuated to temporary shelters. Without any doubt, China has been greatly damaged that it has sent out requests around the world to provide millions of tents for the homeless. Maybe it’s about time the whole world cooperates and for awhile stops ranting about the sizzling political arena. We just hope that the aftershock would be the last one so as to prevent any more casualties and further damages.

Hope and pray that it will not happen again. I feel pity and sad to all the victims.
